ABOUT TREADI

The Treadi bag is a new and innovative product which we have been developing since September 2015.

The idea was born due to my own dislike for having to hand-clean my sporting footwear and other difficult-to-wash items, when I realised it was an issue not just for me but for many of my friends and family, both young and old alike. I immediately set out to find a solution and quickly realised there was a gap in the market and that’s where the journey began.

THE PROBLEM

As you may or may not be aware hand-cleaning any item of clothing or footwear is both time consuming and tedious. The treads/spikes and intricate detailing of sporting footwear; such as golf shoes and football boots, are especially difficult to clean. Grass, dirt and other debris tend to accumulate in these areas.

Our market research supports our belief that my friends and I are not the only people with this pet hate. This inconvenience affects millions of people across the globe and there is a definite demand for the Treadi bag.

THE SOLUTION

The Treadi bag is a stylish multi-purpose drawstring wash bag, with a unique inner layer of twist pile microfiber, which allows the washing of studded, bladed or spiked footwear in a domestic washing machine.

The inner microfiber layer acts as a buffer to minimise damage to the items and the washing machine. It also aids with the cleaning of the items and footwear.

The drawstring bag design is a fashionable accessory which can be used to carry footwear to and from a chosen activity, with maximum comfort and style.

Although our bag is designed specifically for footwear, our research suggests that consumers will also use our bag to wash other sports footwear, such as running shoes and fashion trainers and any delicate garments / items requiring protection.
