You will never guess…I made it onto the treadi again today. It was great to be back and I pulled off a long one. I might have found a tip for all you waiverers out there like me. If you need a jolt to get your body going, do something you absolutely love. For some that might be walking the zoo or an amusement park, but for me it is soccer. I really think my weakly soccer games have helped me get over the first of many hills.

Another tip I found was to get a TV set up for your personal gym. I set up a projector for movies but the bulb went out. For right now I have a TV and it seems to make the run a little more fun. I still like podcasts while I run, but they are still just a little bit more work to set up than good old trashy TV.

I guess now I have to tell you what I was watching. Well at first I had King of the Hill where Hank had to run from the bulls. Funny! After that I really turned up the trash with some show about the 100 worst TV dating moments. I would never watch this kind of crap, but I think if you are doing something meaningful like running, you can pretty much watch what you want.

That is all I have for now.

Run 20081218 2 In A Row

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

2 Miles
22 Minutes
222 Pounds

I have a love hate relationship with how those numbers turned out. Oh well, I am proud that I bounced back with 2 days in a row on the treadmill. Maybe I should start weighing myself in the morning after burning calories all night. Due to travel days I may not get an official treadmill run until this Sunday. Honestly, a break might be nice because my running muscles were a bit tight during the run today. Starting a fitness plan usually includes a little muscle soreness. Either way, my travels include some athletic wrestling activities so I should be fine.

Run 20081217 No One Said It Would Be Easy

Okay so for all those out there that don’t know anything about procrastination, I am here to tell you that having a treadmill and using it are two different things. Ideally, I would be writing to you on a daily basis. However, no run no post! I am not going to make excuses. I am as busy as the next person and it is just about priorities. I need to make time. I need to do better. I need to move more and eat less!

On the positive side of things I came back strong with a 3 mile run. I felt good and the Reebok S 9.89 treadmill worked flawlessly. I listened to the whole Buzz Out Loud podcast during my run. This daily podcast is perfect for those that like technology and run for about 30 minutes. Lastly, pictures are coming soon…I think progress pictures will be really motivating to me and hopefully you.
